Inspired by artists such as Diana Ross, Sade, Sheila E, Beyonce, and Tamia, OhGinelle's smooth and soulful vocals are a new twist on the classics. Stephanie Ginelle Yorke was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in beautiful south Florida. OhGinelle is known for saying "I'd rather sing before I talk. I'd rather dance before I walk". It may seem backwards, but to OhGinelle it makes total sense. OhGinelle's musical foundation was established at the tender age of seven. She attended a music school where she played the piano and often auditioned for roles in plays. One year she managed to get a lead role that included singing.” I sang Etta James 'At Last'. I was kind of nervous, but the audience loved it and gave me my first standing ovation." From that point, there was no denying that music would be her life. OhGinelle is very versatile, and has performed many different genres of music from rock, to pop, to calypso, which has influenced her tremendously.
